Monica Morales
Veterinary Technician
Monica was born and raised in Chicago, IL. As a kid she found herself always around animals. Growing up she had many pets and did volunteer work at the Anti-Cruelty Society. It took the loss of her dog Buddy to really push her into the veterinary field. Once she went through that loss she wanted to help as many families and their furry friends as possible. After High school she attended Sanford Brown College where she got her certification as a veterinary assistant. After completing school she worked at several different jobs with animals learning more at each one. She soon found her way to Merrick Animal Hospital where she couldn’t be happier. “Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come.” At home Monica has two wonderful pit-bulls, Brad Pitt and Norman Bates, who were both amazing rescues. During her free time she loves to be with her family and friends. She also loves to draw and listen to music. She volunteers the rest of her time helping at animal shelters and giving back to the community.
